چکیده
This study aimed at the isolation of antibiotic resistance and ESBL producing E. coli from urinary tract infection patients visiting HMC hospital Peshawar. Method: A total 200 samples were collected cultured on selective media for bacterial isolation. Two hundred isolates subjected to different morphological biochemical tests identification coli. 121 isolations recovered. These sensitivity testing. Eight antibiotics (Meropenem, Tazocin, Ciprofloxacin, Fosfomycin, Cefotaxime, Augmentin, Ceftazidime, Cefepime) used this purpose. Result: The showed high these such as meropenem having percent 1.85 while is 98.14%, Tazocin 9.25 85.18%, Ciprofloxacin 87.96 percent, 12.03%, Fosfomycin 3.70 95.37%, Cefepime 100 percent. then investigated existence enzymes production through double disc diffusion test. Among isolates, 108 positive production. Conclusion: Current findings highlight prevalence multi drug resistant in clinical samples. Proper management control measures are needed spread highly pathogenic ensure public health safety.

Detection of Ampc and Extended-Spectrum Beta-Lactamases in Clinical Isolates of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa from Patients with Cystic Fibrosis
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives: Pseudomonas aeruginosa is the most frequent opportunistic pathogen isolated from the sputum of patients with cystic fibrosis (CF). Resistance to β -lactam antibiotics may arise from over expression of the naturally occurring AmpC cephalosporinases or acquired extended-spectrum β-lactamases (ESBL). The aim of...
متن کاملExtended-Spectrum Beta-Lactamases Producing Microorganisms isolated from UTI Patients: an Alarm
UTI is one of the commonest infections encountered by clinicians and Extended— spectrum beta-lactamases in UTI patients have emerged as a major threat worldwide. Due to extensive use of β-lactam antibiotics over the last several decades in the clinical practice various β-lactamases have emerged and despite the worldwide availability of antimicrobial agents. UTI has become difficult to treat bec...
متن کاملAntibiotic Resistance Pattern and the Prevalence of Extended Spectrum Beta-Lactamases (ESBLs) in Urinary Isolates of Klebsiella Pneumoniae
Abstract Background and Objective: Klebsiella pneumoniae is an opportunistic nosocomial pathogen causing a variety of infections including urinary tract infections, pneumonia, septicemia, wound infections and infections in the intensive care units. Since the ESBL producing Klebsiella pneumoniae strains are increasingly causing urinary tract infections, we aim to assess antibiotic resistance pat...

The purpose of this study was to determine the drug resistan pattern Acinetobacter baumannii and prevalence of ESBL producing strains in Intensive Care Unit patients in Isfahan city hospitals. Material and Methods: The study was conducted on 100 Ac...
متن کاملThe Association Between Genetic Variants in Extended Spectrum Beta-Lactamases and AmpC-producing Gram-Negative Bacilli and Antibiotic Resistance
Background and Objective: A large group of genes associated with extended-spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBL) and AmpC expression is involved in inducing antibiotic resistance in various bacteria. Identifying these genes and assessing their harboring will be crucial in determining the pattern of antibiotic resistance. This study aimed to characterize genetic variants in extended-spectrum beta-lacta...
